The Case of Sara Sharif

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Surrey, UK, to discuss probably one of the most requested cases of 2024, and that is the case of Sara Sharif. Sara was an an adorable little girl of both Polish and Pakistani heritage that had a bright future ahead of her. That was, until her father, Urfan Sharif, and her stepmother, Beinash Batool, beat her to death and then fled to Pakistan. Sara's body was later discovered under a blanket in her bunk bed after Urfan called the police to confess his crimes.

The Case of Amari Nicholson

This week, Drewby and Yergy head back over to Las Vegas to tell the heartbreaking story of a little boy who was beaten to death for doing what all little kids do... for having a bathroom accident. Amari Nicholson was an adorable little boy who was left in the care of his mother's boyfriend, Terrell Rhodes, after his mother, Tayler Nicholson, took off to Colorado to look after her own mother, Carrie Howard. While in Colorado, Tayler got a call that no mother wants to receive... that her little boy was missing from the motel room the couple shared. Except, there wasn't an abductor, and Terrell would soon crack while being interrogated.

The Case of Lazaro Figueroa

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to South Florida to discuss the case of Lazaro Figueroa, a sweet little boy who was beaten to death by his mother and his mother's new girlfriend. Known to the public as "Baby Lollipops" based on his t-shirt design, line workers in Miami Beach discovered the body of the small boy in the bushes of an affluent neighborhood. By conducting door to door interviews and canvassing area neighborhoods, police soon had a lead... a lead that led to the couple, who at this point, had fled to Disney World.

The Case of Timothy McLean

This week, Drewby and Yergy pay a visit to our neighbors to the north to discuss the case of Timothy McLean, a young man who enjoyed a nomadic lifestyle as a carnival worker. While aboard Greyhound Bus 1170, Timothy was attacked and killed by Vince Li, an undiagnosed and untreated schizophrenic. But what Vince did to Timothy's body in the aftermath of the attack caused onlookers, first responders, and Timothy's family unmeasurable trauma... and caused one RCMP officer to later take his own life.

The Case of Dennis Vaughan

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Laconia, New Hampshire... a place that's really important to them, to discuss the tragic case of Dennis "Boo" Vaughan, a little boy who never had a chance at life.  After being born to a young mother and an abusive father who was in his 50's (both who were experiencing substance use issues at the time), Dennis and his siblings went to live with his grandmother, Sherry Connor. The problem was, Sherry was also extremely abusive, so Dennis wasn't safe in either environment. On Christmas Eve of 2019, little Dennis was found unresponsive in Sherry's apartment, and it would take years for the grandmother to be brought to justice.

The Case of JaQuinn Brewton

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to discuss the tragic case of JaQuinn Brewton - an adorable toddler who went to stay with his godmother, Nadera Batson, and her boyfriend after his mother became homeless. But what was supposed to be a safe situation for little JaQuinn turned deadly after Nadera began beating him for hours, scalding his feet with hot water, and burning his backside with a kitchen blowtorch. Many people potentially heard what was going on inside of the apartment, but no one actually did anything to stop it.

The Case of Jennifer Smith

This week, Drewby and Yergy head up to the county to discuss the case of Jennifer Smith. Jennifer was a girl living in Northern Maine who came from a troubled home. Her father, James Smith, not only sexually assaulted her and her sister, but raped and attempted to kill a woman in North Carolina. After serving 5 years in prison, James moved back in with his family and changed his name to Matthew Wilson. However, just 2-years later, James (now Matthew) would set his sights once more on his daughter, Jennifer, and a tragedy that should have been prevented occurred.
